    Owning V has been a completely new type of entrepreneurship for me—running a business rooted in a physical space within a vibrant, open-minded neighborhood. It’s also given me a unique perspective on technology. Platforms I once used solely as a consumer, like Yelp, OpenTable, and Toast, are now essential tools for managing the business.

    Thankfully, we have an incredible team, so it’s rare to see us behind the bar—but it does happen occasionally! Venturing into the hospitality industry has been both fun and challenging, and it’s given me a deep appreciation for founders who build businesses within their communities. We were curious if we could create something truly exceptional—and we did! Some of the top restaurants in the world, including Alinea in Chicago and Scratch Bar in Los Angeles, agreed and proudly served Semblance.

    Starting Semblance was both fun and challenging. It gave me a firsthand understanding of how tough it is to build and scale a company that sells a physical product—but it was a deeply rewarding experience.
